McIlroy not moving to TaylorMade
Rory McIlroy will not be leaving Titleist any time soon.
Talk has been rife among the equipment trailers that the new world No 10 was going to follow Sergio Garcia and Darren Clarke into the TaylorMade-adidas camp.
But McIlroy's personal assistant at International Sports Management, Stuart Cage, confirmed on Tuesday that there was no truth to the rumours.
"That's not true at all. He's very happy indeed with Titleist. He loves their stuff and hasn't done too badly at all recently!" Cage said.
McIlroy has played with Titleist clubs since his amateur days and signed with the equipment giants when he turned professional just over two years ago.
He is believed to have three years to run on his current contract club, shoe, glove and ball deal.
The TaylorMade rumours appear to have surfaced since the Holywood star was linked to potential clothing deal with Ashworth, which was acquired by TaylorMade-adidas just over a year ago.
