New look links reopens at Corballis

Irish links golf has gained another gem with the news that American designer Ron Kirby has added four new holes to Corballis Golf Links in north Dublin - the only public links course in Ireland.

The redeveloped 18 hole course was officially opened by Fingal County Council's Councillor David O'Connor on 27 March.

Corballis has re-openedFingal County Council in conjunction with Carr Golf Services, managers of the Council's golf facilities, engaged Kirby to design four new holes, which are now ready for play.

Kirby is a leading expert in this field having joined Jack Nicklaus Design Services in 1986 with responsibility for all European Projects. Some of the courses he has designed or remodelled include Old Head Golf Links, Skellig Bay Golf Club and Dromoland Castle with Joe Carr.

The new design was carried out to a very high standard and within budget by European Golf Services Limited.

Situated on the same pristine stretch of land as the Island Golf Club, one of Ireland's the most famous links courses, Corballis Golf Links offers the unrivalled experience of playing a top quality links course in an easily accessible location at more than affordable prices.

Happy days at CorballisFingal County Council are also pleased to announce that to coincide with the opening of this course it is introducing a new concession rate of €10  before 10 am for the unwaged mid-week at both Corballis and Elmgreen in Castleknock.
