Is Graeme McDowell about to leave Callaway Golf for a rival company?

The Ulsterman’s contract with his equipment manufacturers runs out at the end of this year and while Golfweek reported today that talks have reached a dead end, his management company is giving nothing away.

In an email, McDowell’s manager, Conor Ridge described the Golfweek story as “speculative”:

Graeme McDowell is under contract with Callaway Golf as you are aware.  As you will appreciate, the terms of his contract with Callaway Golf are confidential and we do not discuss such issues with third parties. I saw the speculative piece written by Golfweek and have no comment.
