Paul knows he can cut it now
Amateur ace Paul Cutler knows he can make it as a pro after an impressive week in Killarney.
The Portstewart star, 22, closed with a 72 to finish tied for 21st on five under par.
Hoping to earn Walker Cup honours next month before turning the paid ranks, Cutler said: “It would be a dream to come back some day and win the Irish Open.
“I’ve learnt that I don’t have to do anything different to compete with these guys, just go and play my own game.
“I still need to improve my swing and every aspect of my game but hopefully able to do that.”
The Irish Close and West of Ireland champion has a busy few weeks ahead before he turns professional at the Qualifying School.
He’s chasing the title in this week’s European Individual Championship in Sweden and then hopes to help Ireland win the Home Internationals in Sligo next week.
