The 28-year from Muskerry earned $3,330 as Australia’s Kieran Pratt (68) birdied the second extra hole to capture his first Asian Tour title following a three-way play-off with compatriot Adam Blyth and Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat.

Kiradech, who closed with a 72, was the first to bow out after narrowly missing his birdie putt from 35 feet as Pratt and Blyth birdied the 18th hole at the Royal Mingalardon Golf and Country Club.

But it was Pratt who pocketed the winner’s cheque for $47,550, making another birdie on the same hole as Blyth made par after his tee shot found water.

The trio had tied on 15-under-par 273 in the $300,000  event and Pratt, who was five shots off the lead after the third round, made a superb charge highlighted by an eagle-three on the 18th hole from 15 feet.

Overnight leader Scott Hend had to settle for a share of fourth after a disappointing final round 74.

Turner, who failed to improve his status after an unsuccessful trip to the Asian Tour’s Qualifying School earlier this month, finished on 10 under par after a 69 featuring four birdies with a solitary bogey.
