Limerick found themselves in an uphill battle when Hannah Glesson gave the Dublin side an early lead by disposing of a luckless Emma Guinan after 10 holes in the third match.

The remain two matches saw constant shifts in momentum over the back nine with Elm Park looking to be in control on a few occasions.

Tara Whelan was in devastating form for Limerick, firing six birdies to secure a narrow one hole victory over current girls’ international Ariana Coyle Diez.

Rachel McDonnell was in similar form, claiming her match and the title for the Leinster Championships by holding her nerve to convert from five feet on the home green much to the delight of the sizable galleries.
