Go swinging with Pádraig

Padraig Harrington with the Golf Swing ShirtPádraig Harrington with the Golf Swing ShirtPádraig Harrington has done well to maintain his usual good humour during his recent slump in form - at least publicly - and he’ll certainly be the perfect playing partner for the winners of The Golf Swing Shirt Company’s  “Play with Pádraig” promotion.

Three lucky winners will play a round of golf with the three-time Major champion at a course in southern California on February 11 next year.

To enter, all contestants, 18 years and older, must log onto www.golfswingshirt.com and register their name, address and upload a 30 second video of themselves using The Golf Swing Shirt.

They will also need to answer this question correctly:

“How many major championships has Pádraig Harrington won?”

Tough one.

Ray Rapcavage, the inventor of The Golf Swing Shirt Company, is pretty pleased with the idea.

“As far as we know this is the first time that a golf related company has created a global promotion that gives three amateur golfers the chance to play with a golf superstar like Pádraig Harrington,” he says.

“We are excited to launch this initiative to promote our amazing product and we know that Pádraig is equally keen to connect personally with his fans.”

The final draw will be made at The PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida on January 24, 2014.

All three winners will be promptly notified and will be given the opportunity to play with Pádraig on February 11.

As for the Golf Swing Shirt itself, notorious gadget freak Harrington is completely sold.

“The Golf Swing Shirt seems to have been designed with me in mind as it promotes the feeling of the connection between the arms and the body, which is something I have worked on my entire career,” Harrington says.

“I truly believe this product will make a difference to my game and am very happy to be associated with it. Everybody knows how much I like to practice and having a new training aid makes me even more motivated.”
