O'Hara seals Senior Cup for Sligo; Jimmy Bruen for Killorglin
There were jubilant scenes at Royal Tara Golf Club on Saturday as County Sligo captured the AIG Senior Cup at the expense of Ulster champions Rosapenna, writes the GUI.
Mark Morrissey won the first point of the day for Sligo, as he saw off the challenge of Donal Boyle by 3 & 1.
In what was a tight encounter between Gary McDermott and Michael McDermott that came all the way to the last hole, it was the Irish international from Sligo that put a second point on the board - winning by 1 hole.

When Sean Flanagan and Declan Reidy lost their matches against Enda Kennedy and Frank Casey Jr the last match on course would prove be the decisive one.
In that match Sligo’s Steffan O’Hara faced Patrick Kennedy, and it wasn’t until the 16th green that O’Hara edged ahead to go 1up.
And when O’Hara holed a five ft putt for par on the penultimate green - the men from County Sligo were assured of their first senior cup title since 2007 and their fourth overall.
In the Jimmy Bruen Shield Killorglin took home the top prize as they accounted for Tandragee of Ulster.
