Irish Seniors in Euro final

With McGimpsey and Morrow providing the wag in the tail at Pannonia Golf and Country Club, the men in green beat Scotland 3-2 and will now face Sweden in Saturday’s title decider. Scores

Tom Cleary  and Michael Quirke beat Lindsay Gordon & David Gardiner 3 and 2 in the foursomes before singles defeats for Arthur Pierse and Maurice Kelly left Ireland relying on McGimpsey and Morrow, who duly obliged.

Sweden beat England 3.5-1.5 in the other semi-final.
