McNamara wins at Lee Valley

Headfort's Rory McNamara warmed up for his defence of this week's West of Ireland Championship with a three-stroke victory in the Lee Valley Senior Scratch Cup.

McNamara and 2013 winner Gary O’Flaherty over Cork were tied for the lead on two under par after 36 holes in testing conditions.

But the Co Meath man emerged victorious, closing with a birdie from five feet for a 71 and a three under total of 213.
