Harrington designs clothing line for Dunnes Stores

Pádraig Harrington is delighted with the new line of golf clothing he's designed for Dunnes Stores.

Things are looking up for Pádraig Harrington. He's got no idea wha the future holds but he's busier than ever and even designed a new line of golf clothing for Dunnes Stores.

Pádraig Harrington models his new line for Dunnes Stores

"They're launching it not the 29th of May," he said. "As you go along, you eventually design your own clothes, your own line. And I'm quite happy to have done it with Dunnes.

"They are the biggest private employer in Ireland. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is top of the range. So they were keen to get it done and I am delighted to be part of it."

The partnership between Dunnes Stores and Harrington is an obvious one and while the gear is, as you'd expect, good value for money, it looks good.

"They’ve gone a little trendier," he says. "There are lots of different options and layers and it’s expanding as well. We’ve put a good bit of effort into it and I am very happy with it so far."

As for his future in the game, he has no idea what lies ahead.

"If I knew, I would buy the lottery," he joked before jetting out to Texas, where he had his best finish in the US this season in last week's HP Byron Nelson Championship. "Every week I am keen to get out there and I work away. It really hasn’t shown up this year. The one thing I don't have is any certainty. I think it is great but I have no certainty whatsoever. None at all.

"I am confident but no matter how confident I get, I am not going out there thinking this is a definite. I am thinking, 'I hope' and I can only hope that what I see, and the practice I see, is there on the golf course."

Given his performance at TPC Four Season at Las Colinas, it appears there's every reason to look on the bright side. And we don't just mean the clothes.
