Women outshine the men at World Universities
Ireland's women finished marginally better than the men as Spain completed the double in the World University Golf Championship at Crans-sur-Sierre.
Jean O'Driscoll (T15th), Amy Farrell (T27) and Sinead Sexton (33rd) were seventh in the team competition behind the Spanish side, who won by four shots from the United States.
The men were eighth behind the Spanish, who won by 20 strokes from France, with Chris Selfridge tied 10th, Conor O'Rourke and Tiarnan McLarnon tied 33rd and Declan Loftus tied 50th.
Mexico's Gerardo Ruiz won the men's individual title while Hong Kong's Tiffany Chan took the women's crown at the second playoff hole from Spain's Marta Sanz.
