Partridge wins Irish Seniors Open title

England's Richard Partridge held off a final round charge from Cork's Tom Cleary to claim the Irish Seniors Amateur Open title by two strokes in Roscommon.

Cleary turned in three under but despite a double-bogey at the par-four 14th, Patridge held on and made par at the last four holes to card a 73 for a one over par total of 217.

Bangor's Garth McGimpsey finished third after a 72  while Skerries' Mick Ahern, Killeen's Maurice Kelly and England's David Lane won the over-60, over-65 and over-70 categories respectively.
