Swiss bliss as Dawson leads European Universities after record 65; Maynooth University 9 back

Swiss bliss for Robin Dawson

Maynooth University's Robin Dawson fired a magnificent, course record 65 at Golfpark Waldkirch to lead the individual standings by three shots heading into today's final round of the European Universities Golf Championship in Switzerland.

The Faithlegg and Tramore ace's six under par round left him three shots clear of Stirling University's Craig Howie on eight under 205 with Eugene Smith (69) in fifth on 215 , Stuart Grehan (73) 12th, Sean Flanagan (73) 15th and Alan Lowry (77) 21st.

In the team competition, Stirling University leads by nine strokes on 631 from Maynooth at St Gallen.
