Fletcher 14th in Barcelona Men's Championship

Warrenpoint’s Jamie Fletcher made a strong start to 2016 with top 15 finish in the Barcelona Men’s Championship at El Prat.
An Irish Boys international, Fletcher closed with a final round 74 at the Terrassa venue to finish on 17 over par 305 behind Spain’s Iván Cantero.
World amateur No 13 Cantero contunued his fine run of form following his win in the Copa de Andalucía, turning a three shot overnight lead into an eight-stroke victory over Alejandro del Rey
Cantero finished on one under par 287 — the only player under par — thanks to a closing 70, the low round of the day
Mario Galiano, the world No 22, was third on eight over after a 75
