Mehaffey won by one shot from Anais Meyssonnier of France last year and having recently won the Irish Women’s Open, she will be keen to win add the Scottish Women’s Open title to her collection for a second time when she leads out the field at 7.30am on Friday.

Tee-times

With the Curtis Cup side to be announced on Thursday 28 April, it's the last chance for the Irish hopefuls to impress the GB&I selectors and make the team to face the USA at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club from 10-12 June.

Chloe Ryan (Castletroy), Jessica Ross (Donaghadee), Maria Dunne (Skerries), Sinead Sexton (Lahinch), Mary Doyle (The Heath), Aedin Murphy (Carlow), Shannon Burke (Ballinrobe), Rachel Taylor (Laytown & Bettystown), Shannen Brown (The Heath), Victoria Craig (Royal Belfast) and Rachel Thompson (Cork) will all make the trip hoping to avoid the cut after 36 holes on the Portland Course and make the top 66 players who will take on Royal Troon.
