Bridges continues learning curve on EPD Tour

Stackstown's Richard Bridges admitted he "didn't play great" final the final round but a share of 11th spot will boost his confidence for the season ahead on the Pro Golf Tour (aka the EPD Tour).

As the overnight leader, the Czech Republic's Stanislav Matus closed with a 71, he was caught by Scotland's Chris Robb who shot 65 to tie on 18 under 198 in the Haugschlag NÖ Open 2016 in Lower-Austria.

Bridges made four birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey five to add one under 71 to rounds of 69 and 66 to share 11th on 10 under

"I didn't play great today but hung in and finished strong," he said. "Always learning."

In the playoff,  Prague native Pratus secured his maiden victory on the Pro Golf Tour on the second extra-hole.

The 27-year-old said: "I know the course very well and I’m aware of the high quality especially the great greens!”

The Haugschlag NÖ Open is been the first out of three Pro Golf Tour events in Austria this year. On Monday the Adamstal Open 2016 powered by EURAM Bank AG will start in Ramsau, followed by the St Pölten Pro Golf Tour 2016 presented by Diners Club in Neidling. Defending champions are Olivier Rozner from France and Dutchman Reinier Saxton.
