Sharvin chasing maiden win in Belgium

Challenge Tour — Rookie Cormac Sharvin was the only Irish golfer to make the cut in the KPMG Trophy in Belgium.

While Alexander Knappe added a 68 to his 62 to take  a one shot lead at the halfway stage  at Cleydael Golf and Country Club on 12 under, Sharvin is only four behind in a share of eighth after dropping just one shot in a three under 68.

The cut fell at three under 139 which meant that Chris Selfridge missed out by one after rounds of 71 and 69 while Ruaidhri McGee, Gareth Shaw and Brian Casey also failed to get through.
