Marvel Morrow in the hunt at Formby

Portmarnock’s Adrian Morrow birdied the last three holes to lie just three shots off the lead heading into the final round of the Seniors Amateur Championship at Formby.

The remarkable 63-year old carded a level par 72 and shares fifth place on three over par behind Scotland’s John Fraser,  who shot a second successive level par 72 to lead by a shot from two-time former winner, Chip Lutz.

The top 60 made the 13 over par (157) cut for the final round with Maurice Kelly (151), Liam Halpin (151), Barry O’Leary (153), Tom Cleary (153) and Arthur Pierse (154) all making it.
