Lowry and Power progress at Pebble Beach
Shane Lowry and Seamus Power were tied for 23rd on three under par when play was suspended due to fog in the $7.2m AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Lowry was one under par after 10 holes at Monterey Peninsula Country Club, where he made nine par and a birdie at his seventh hole, the par-five 16th.
Playing partner Pádraig Harrington was one over for the day after 10 holes, having followed a birdie-bogey-bogey-birdie run from the 13th with another bogey at the 544-yard, par-four 10th.
West Waterford's Seamus Power was in action at Pebble Beach Golf Links, which is one of these courses used over the first three days before the leading 60 players and ties qualify for the final round at Pebble Beach.
Having opened with a two under 70 at Spyglass Hill, Power was one under for 12 holes when play was suspended and seven strokes behind joint leaders Jordan Spieth (65 Spyglass) and Derek Fathauer (-8 after 17, Pebble Beach).
Starting on the back nine, Power bogeyed the 16th when he missed the green but birdied the par-five 18th and second holes, two-putting the former before getting up and from greenside sand at the latter.
In the pro-am section, Lowry and Gerry McManus and Power and his partner Farrell are tied 31st on nine under with Harrington and Dermot Desmond 117th on two under.
Spieth shot a seven under 65 at Spyglass Hill while Fathauer must return to Pebble Beach on Saturday morning to finish his round on the ninth hole.
Jason Day, the world No. 1 player, was seven under through 12 holes at Spyglass when play was stopped and just a shot off the pace on nine under.
Patrick Reed, who withdrew two weeks ago from the European Tour event in Australia next week because of a respiratory infection, was at seven under and had one hole to play at Monterey Peninsula.
Only 33 out of 154 players managed to finish with Spieth and country singer Jake Owen leading the pro-am on 15 under after a 61.
