Annabel Wilson the lone Irish survivor in Jerez
Lurgan’s Annabel Wilson was the only Irish player to make Friday’s matchplay stages of the Spanish International Ladies’ Amateur Championship at Sherry Golf Jerez.
The teenager shot a second successive 73 to make the top 32 with ease, sharing sixth place on two-over-par, five shots behind leading qualifier Anastasia Mickan of Germany.
Curtis Cup player Maria Dunne from Skerries missed the qualifying mark by four shots as she shot 78 to finish on 10-over-par while Lisburn's Paula Grant (78) and Georgia Carr (82) also missed out.
Wilson will now face Spain's Teresa Diez Moliner in the first round.
