Murray eyes fifth Munster Mid-Am

Clontarf’s Pat Murray will be going for his fifth victory in the Munster Mid-Amateur Championship after rounds of 70 and 71 gave the Tipperary man a two-stroke lead heading into the final round at Newcastle West.

Murray leads on one-under par 141 from Portumna's James McLoughlin with Ballybunion's Peter Sheehan three off the pace on two-over par.

Cork's Gary O'Flaherty and Newcastle West's Brian Lenihan are just four strokes behind Murray on three-over.
