Gleeson and Grant head Irish challenge in Buenos Aires

Castle's Alex Gleeson and Lisburn's Paula Grant lead the Irish challenge for the South American Amateur Championship in Argentina.

Gleeson, Irish Close champion in 2016, shot a second successive 70 at Martindale Country Club on the outskirts of Buenos Aires to move up from 10th to tied third on four-over-par, just four strokes behind Canada's Chris Crisolologo, who went out in six-under 30 en route to a bogey-free 64.
Robin Dawson double bogeyed the par-three 15th and posted a 74 to fall 11 spots on the leaderboard to tied 21st on level par.
It was a positive day for Grant, who arrived in Argentina without her clubs or her suitcase.
The clubs were left behind in Heathrow and the case went to Chile but after opening with a 76, she followed up with a level par 72 on Sunday to move up 29 places to tied 13th on four-over-par.
She seven strokes behind co-leaders Maria Serrano from Colombia (70 71) and Peru's Luisamariana Mesones (70 71).
Lurgan's Annabel Wilson shot 80 and is tied for 23rd on eight-over par.
