Grant seven back in Wales
Lisburn’s Paula Grant is seven shots adrift of Scotland’s Hannah McCook heading into Sunday’s final round of the Welsh Ladies Open Stroke Play at Aberdovey.
Recently named in the eight-strong GB&I Curtis Cup squad for June’s clash with the USA in New York, the Irish champion made three birdies in a two-over 75 to share eighth place on two-over 148 with Ballinrobe’s Shannon Burke a shot further back in tied 12th after a 75.
Milltown’s Georgia Carr shot 75 to share 22nd on five-over 151 with Grange’s Elisa Corcoran making the cut on the mark on 159 after an 80 as Hermitage’s Canice Screene missed out by just one stroke.
McCook added a 70 to her opening 71 to lead by two strokes from England’s Sophie Lambe on five-under.
