Morrow two clear in Connacht Seniors

Adrian Morrow might be 65 but he's still swinging like a man half his age as he showed when adding the Ulster Seniors Championship at Rosapenna to his long list of successes.
Now he's on track for a ninth individual success as a senior after he fired a four-under 66 to lead by two strokes from Doneraile's Michael Quirke after the opening round of the Connacht Seniors Open Championship at Strandhill.
The sweet-swinging Portmarnock international captured four “majors” during his regular career — the “East" in 1975 and '83 and the "South" in 1983 and '96.
He has also won three European Seniors Individual titles, three Irish Seniors and two Leinster Seniors as well as the recent Ulster Seniors at Rosapenna and five European Senior Team Championships.
He has also played in three Great Britain and Ireland Concession Cup teams and was playing captain of the Great Britain and Ireland Seniors team for the match against the Continent of Europe at Valderrama in 2015.
He won't have things all his own way in Sligo where Mourne's Hugh Smyth is lurking just four strokes off the pace after a level par 70 with Naas' Maurice Kelly, Portstewart's Mark Windebank and Westport's Liam Halpin tied for fourth after one-over 71s.
