The GUI has named its squads for three events in the US in October and November.

Hermitage’s Rowan Lester will accompany Naas’ Robert Brazill to the Nassau Invitational from October 11-12 and also play in the Carey Cup from October 22-23 with Douglas’ Peter O’Keeffe, Brazill and Walker Cup trio Conor Purcell, Caolan Rafferty and James Sugrue.

Royal Dublin’s Hugh Foley and Waterford’s Eanna Griffin, who like O’Keeffe and Lester missed out on selection for next week’s Home Internationals, will play in the Spirit Invitational at Whispering Pines in Texas from November 7-9.

Meanwhile in the Italian Boys U16 Championship at Biella, Portmarnock’s Brandon St John, Galway Bay’s Luke Cunningham and Roscommon’s Cian O’Connor were the only Irish players to make the cut.
