Heavy and persistent rain forced round two of the 110th Irish PGA Championship to be abandoned without a ball being struck at Roganstown Hotel and Country Club today.

The second and final round is scheduled to get underway on Thursday morning at 9 am with competitors playing in three-balls.

Leaders Colm Moriarty from Glasson Golf Club and St Margaret's Golf and Country Club’s Shane Jenkinson will get their title bid underway at 1.20 pm.

After opening rounds of three under par 68 in the €32,000 event, they are two shots clear of Tulfarris Golf Resort’s Simon Thornton and Athenry’s Sean Cannon.
