Kinetica Sports welcomes home LPGA champion and brand ambassador Maguire
Global sports nutrition experts Kinetica Sports welcomed home brand ambassador, Leona Maguire to the Kinetica Sports HQ for a debrief following her recent success.
Maguire became the first Irish winner in LPGA Tour history, closing with a five-under-par 67 for a three-stroke victory in the LPGA Drive On Championship at Crown Colony Golf & Country Club in Florida.
Maguire has been an ambassador for the brand since 2019 and openly speaks about the important role nutrition plays in her game, from energy and focus to strength and power, all the way through to recovery and repair.
“The team at Kinetica have been a massive support to me since turning professional so to be able to bring the trophy with me to their offices and see people’s reaction to it is a really nice moment to share,” said Maguire.
“My nutrition and training is as important to my success as my dedication to practice. I am back out on Tour in the next few weeks working hard to hopefully deliver more success and having Kinetica in my corner helps to ensure my game is at its optimum level when competing on the LPGA Tour.
“It has been nice though to have a gap in the schedule since the win to allow me to come home and share it with family and friends like this. Wins don’t come along too often in professional golf so it’s great to be able to make the most of it.”
When asked to take stock of Maguire’s recent victory, Sorcha Madigan, Business President of Kinetica Sports said: “It was an incredible moment for Irish sport. Leona has been a trailblazer from the outset and it’s clear that she is a very talented athlete but for us as a brand, it’s actually her personality and drive that really makes her special.
“Leona is always looking for that extra 1%, that marginal gain that matters so much in the game of golf. We will continue to support her in every way we can and look forward to her continuing to pave the way for young Irish golfers.”
Modest! Golf owner Niall Horan, whose management company signed the Cavan star to her first professional contract in 2018, was equally thrilled after Maguire’s latest triumph, crediting Kinetica for the key role they play in her on-course performance.
“We’re so proud to represent Leona and watch her talent flourish on a global stage,” said Horan.
“Golf is a game of inches and through working with Kinetica, Leona has been able to find an edge that has seen her break through on the LPGA Tour. We’re delighted with how that relationship has evolved over the years and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
Modest! Golf Director, Mark McDonnell added: “Nothing Leona achieves comes as a surprise to the team. She is such a hard worker and an absolute inspiration to young girls, and boys taking up the game both in Ireland and further afield.
“Leona is a credit to her family, friends and the whole of Ireland and we’re very fortunate to represent her.”
