Fairways and Fundays partners with Harry Ewing
Fairways and FunDays have partnered with Irish professional Harry Ewing.
Now a caddie on the LPGA Tour and co-host of the Three Off The Tee podcast, the partnership will focus on enhancing the golfing experience of the company’s clients and on expanding the market for Irish golf tourism.
The agreement will also see Harry carry Fairways and FunDays branding on the LPGA Tour.
Irish golf had been growing worldwide in the years leading up to the pandemic with in excess of 200,000 overseas visitors playing golf here every year.
Such volume accounted for more than 1.7 million bed nights and a financial contribution to the economy of close to €270 million.
Ewing will be leveraging his reputation in the golfing industry and visibility amongst the golfing community to grow business in traditional and new markets.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing Harry on board as our latest ambassador,” said Joe O’Carroll, director at Fairways and Fundays. “Harry will use his recognition and presence as a caddie on the LPGA Tour to grow our business which is exclusively focussed on golf in Ireland and assist us in building better golfing experiences for our clients.
“Harry is widely known in the sector through his 3 Off The Tee podcast and his strong track record. His latest caddying assignment, with USA’s Marina Alex is off to a flying start with her being in contention in her first two outings this year, most recently sharing the final-round pairing with Leona Maguire in her first LPGA Tour win.”
Speaking at The K Club, where the partnership was launched Ewing said: “It’s a wonderful opportunity for me having met so many people around the world, now to be able to showcase Ireland to these people. I’m looking forward to introducing many, many new and returning visitors to golf in Ireland, in the knowledge that I will be dealing with Europe’s best Inbound golf tour operator in Fairways and FunDays.”
