Jack Hearn and Alex Maguire secured top 30 finishes in the Tiger Invitational hosted by Jason Duffner and Auburn University in Alabama.
South Alabama star Hearn, recently recovered from Covid-19, carded rounds of 73, 74 and 70 to tie for 20th on one-over-par at Grand National Lake Course.
He finished 20 strokes behind runaway winner Frankie Capan III from Florida Gulf Coast University, who won by eight shots on 19-under thanks to a brace of closing 64s.
Florida Atlantic’s Maguire, the North of Ireland and Connacht Strokeplay champion, overcame an opening 78 to tie for 28th on three-over after carding rounds of 71 and 70 on the final day.
