Stephen Barry wins PGA Southern Championship after playoff at The Heritage

Royal Tara Golf Club club professional Stephen Barry defeated Galway Golf Club club professional Andrew Hickey on the first playoff hole to win the PGA in Ireland Southern Branch Championship at The Heritage.
Both men carded one-under-par 71s at the course designed by Jeff Howes and Seve Ballesteros.
They finished one stroke clear of Eric Byrne, Liam Power, Shane Irwin, Steven Quinlan and David Ryan.

“Absolutely thrilled to win the PGA in Ireland Southern Branch PGA Southern Championship today in The Heritage Golf Resort,” Barry said.
“The course was in super condition. Thanks to the southern Branch for putting on these events.”
