Four teams have been selected to represent Ireland in their respective European Team Championships from 11-15 July.

Max Kennedy (Royal Dublin), Alex Maguire (Laytown & Bettystown), Matt McClean (Malone), Liam Nolan (Galway), Mark Power (Kilkenny) and Caolan Rafferty (Dundalk) will represent Ireland in the European Men’s Amateur Team Championship at Royal Waterloo Golf Club in Belgium which is a blow to the Walker Cup hopes of GB&I squad members Hugh Foley, Robert Moran and Peter O’Keeffe.

Each championship consists of two rounds of stroke play qualifying, with five of six scores to count per team and the top eight teams progressing into match play for the overall championship. The remaining teams will compete in a consolation event.
