The countdown to The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush has begun with the launch of premium experiences for the Championship taking place from 13-20 July 2025.

Fans wishing to guarantee their place at the famous Dunluce links ahead of a ticket ballot opening in summer 2024 can book from a range of available packages, including six fully-inclusive experiences – Champions, Engravers, Caddies, Origins Suites, Scorers Premium and Scorers – each offering a unique way to enjoy the Championship and watch the drama unfold.

Brett Tonkyn, Head of Hospitality at The R&A, said, “We are anticipating a high level of demand from fans eager to attend The Open at Royal Portrush and these premium experiences not only offer them a guaranteed place at the Championship, but also unparalleled access to enjoy watching the world’s professional golfers compete for the iconic Claret Jug.

“We have developed a range of packages that appeal to both golf enthusiasts wishing to enjoy an unforgettable experience of attending The Open with family and friends, and corporate partners wanting to network with clients and entertain them in an iconic setting, whether that is a suite overlooking the 1st tee or a VIP invite to the par-3 13thhole.”

Golf’s original championship returns to Northern Ireland for the third time in its history following the record-breaking staging of The 148th Open in 2019 when 237,750 fans attended and the Championship generated over £100 million in economic benefit for the country.

Aine Kearney, Director of Events at Tourism Northern Ireland, said, “Tourism NI is delighted that The Open is returning to Royal Portrush in 2025 so soon after the huge success of the Championship in 2019. Record crowds attended from Great Britain and Ireland, and across the globe, and enjoyed the special atmosphere and welcome delivered by the world's greatest golf championship, on one of the world's greatest courses.

“Hosting The Open in 2019 brought considerable economic benefits and global exposure for our tourism industry in Northern Ireland which continues to this day. We look forward to welcoming the world back to Portrush in 2025.”

Using proceeds from The Open, The R&A has committed to investing £200 million over ten years in developing golf and supporting the growth of the sport internationally. This commitment aims to create a sustainable future for golf, ensuring its accessibility and popularity for generations to come.
