Glasson Lakehouse to host Faldo Junior Series from August 20-21

The Faldo Junior Tour will visit Glasson Lakehouse in Westmeath from August 20-21.

Renowned for its breathtaking views and challenging course layout, thr course is an excellent venue for this year’s Irish Faldo Junior Tour event.

Seapoint’s Dylan Keating was victorious at Mount Juliet in Kilkenny last year.

This year, the competition is expected to be just as fierce with junior golfers eager to win and secure a spot in the 28th European Grand Final.

Over 50 juniors are expected to take on the part on the par-72 course and will see the juniors compete over 54 holes, aiming to secure their WAGR status.

Players will need to demonstrate consistent play to secure their place in Al Ain this November whilst also competing for the important WAGR and EGR points useful for college applications and national amateur events.

It was an all-Irish affair in 2023, with all 4 age category winners coming from Ireland.

Mark Cadden then just narrowly missed out at the 27th Europe Grand Final for the 16 and Under title against 25 international qualifiers.
