Lee Westwood survived a nervy performance with the putter to grab his first European Tour win for almost four years.

The former European No 1 hit a five under par 67 to win the Andalucia Open by two shots from England's Phillip Archer and Sweden's Fredrik Andersson-Hed on 20 under par.

Waterville's David Higgins (71) missed out on an automatic place in this week's Irish Open when he shared 18th place on 10 under with Paul McGinley (73) tied 44th on four under.

Damien McGrane (72) finish 59th on one under while on the Challenge Tour, Michael Hoey (72) shared seventh place in Toulouse as he finished eight strokes behind Joost Luiten of Holland.
