Faldo backs Harrington at Oakmont

Nick Faldo believes Padraig Harrington has the game to conquer the US Open.

The Ryder Cup skipper and six-time major winner reckons Harrington has the patience to play the waiting game at Oakmont.

Faldo said: "You have to get in there on the back nine in majors a few times and feel the heat on Sunday afternoon

"Padraig was up there right until the end last year and he has this year's Masters to draw on as well.

"He definitely has the game for the US Open and he can certainly get inspired and play some incredible stuff form tee to green.

"If he can find a way of doing it working it around the greens he has that ability as well."
