Moriarty takes giant step in Switzerland

Colm Moriarty took a giant step towards his European Tour card with a third place finish in the Challenge Tour’s Rolex Trophy in Switzerland.
And Antrim' Gareth Maybin also made a move up the rankings with a share of fourth at the Lexus Open in Norway, the Challenge Tour’s second event of the weekend.
Glasson ace Moriarty, 28, hit a two under par 70 to finish four shots adrift of winner Robert Dinwiddie on 14 under par in Geneva.
But his cheque for €10,200 helped him jump eight places to 23rd in the Challenge Tour rankings.
In Norway, Maybin began the final round one off the pace but closed with a 73 to finish fourth.
Austria’s Martin Wiegele took the title after a sudden-death play-off with Scotsman George Murray.
But Maybin's second top five finish in five starts helped him move up to 78th in the rankings.
The Ballyclare native is considering a move back to Europe after three successful years on the US Hooters Tour.
