Steve O is no jackass

Florida ace Billy Horschel is fast becoming the joker in the US Walker Cup pack.

His team mates have nicknamed him Steve-O because he is a dead-ringer for the madcap "Jackass" stunt performer who once regurgitated a goldfish and put a jellyfish on his head.

But Horschel, 20, is also the US squad's Mr 60.

While Rory McIlroy hit an amazing 61 at Royal Portrush two years ago, Horschel set a USGA record when he carded an amazing, 11 under par 60 in US Amateur qualifying last year.

Horschel joked his way around during a practice round with Trip Kuehne, Kyle Stanley and Chris Kirk.

And he confessed that he's enjoying his new Steve-O moniker.

He beamed: "Col Knost and Trip Kuehne think I look like the guy from Jackass because I have a similar facial expression.

"I don't know about that. I haven't started doing anything stupid like Steve-O yet. I've no plans to set fire to myself or anything like that. It's all good fun."

Knost quipped: "Maybe he hasn't done any of that crazy stuff yet ... but he is definitely stupid."
