West of Ireland draw announced
Joe Lyons will face a quality field when he defends the Radisson SAS West of Ireland Championship at Co Sligo.
The qualifying cut fell at a record low of 0.5 with 82 of the 120 entrants playing off plus handicaps.
Sligo fans will be pulling for local hero Gary McDermott and 2007 Connacht Boys champion Michael Durcan.
But Strandhill's Tommy McGowan will also be pushing hard to improve on his semi-final showing last year.
South of Ireland champion Darren Crowe, last year's beaten finalist Paul Culter and fellow internationals Simon Ward, Niall Kearney, Connor Doran, Shane Lowry and Cian Curley will be joined by England international Jonathan Hurst.
