Tickets on sale for Harrington v McIlroy showdown

Tickets are now on sale for the Lough Erne Challenge - the eagerly anticipated showdown between Padraig Harrington and Rory McIlroy at Lough Erne Golf Resort on Wednesday 22nd July 2009.

The 18 hole stroke play event, billed as “The Duel on the Lough”, will see three times Major champion Harrington go head to head with the prodigious Holywood native McIlroy.

Tickets are available on www.loughernegolfresort.com and are priced at £40 for general admission with family tickets, which admit two adults and two children under 16 years, priced at £100.

The Lough Erne Challenge is a new biennial golf event to be hosted by the Lough Erne Golf Resort in Northern Ireland.  The inaugural event will be an 18 hole stroke play match between two of the world’s leading golfers Padraig Harrington and Rory McIlroy, both of whom are Titleist ambassadors. The Lough Erne Challenge will be played on the par 72 Faldo Championship Course at Lough Erne Golf Resort.

4,000 tickets will be made available to members of the public for this ‘head to head’ clash for a prize fund of $300,000.
