Lynn McCool heads for Lough Erne
Lynn McCool has been appointed Director of Golf and Head Professional at the Lough Erne Resort in Fermanagh.
A former competitor on the European, Asian and South African Tours, 37-year old McCool had a highly successful amateur career, earning a golf scholarship at the University of Hawaii before embarking on a four year training programme at The Belfry.
She began here career under Michael Doherty at the City of Derry Golf Club and in 1999, she was appointed PGA Teaching Professional at Hilton Templepatrick Golf Club in County Antrim. In 2004 she was promoted to Director of Golf at the complex.
In 2006 the former Ulster Girls champion joined The K Club as head professional. She managed a team of four PGA professionals developing a comprehensive golf tuition programme and sales and marketing strategy to promote the 36 hole former Ryder Cup venue.
She said: “Lough Erne is the most talked about golf venue in the industry and I am delighted to be joining the team. We have some big plans for the season ahead including the opening of our state of the art Faldo Academy in June 2010.”
