Paul O’Hanlon has an excellent chance of notching his second professional victory in the space of a month in the Europro Tour’s Motocaddy Masters at Wensum Valley.

The Kildare man fired a second round 70 to trail leader Daniel Gaunt (69-68) by just four shots entering Thursday’s final round.

O’Hanlon posted four birdies and two bogeys in a two under par effort to share second place on three under par with Scot Barry Hume and English pair Nicky Harris and Dale Marmion.

Neil O Briain moved into a share of 11th place on one-under after a 70 with Michael Collins slipping back to tied 18th after a disappointing 74.

North West’s Brian McElhinney posted 71 to get back to one-over while Brendan McCarroll (71), Noel Fox (74), Tim Rice (75) made the cut on the three over par limit.

Mark Staunton, Damien Mooney, Michael McGeady, Barrie Trainor, David Rawluk and Michael Kelly missed the cut.
