Six Irish seek PGA Tour cards
Former Shamrock Rovers ace Stephen Grant is chasing his US PGA Tour dream this week.
The winger turned pro swinger tees it up in the first stage of the American Q-School in Florida today.
Grant, 34, is already through to December’s second stage of the European Tour school. But he’s trying his luck on both sides of the Atlantic after coming through US pre-qualifying last week.
The Birr ace is one of six Irishmen in action Stateside as Waterford’s Seamus Power, Ballymena’s Chris Devlin, Waterville’s Mark Murphy and Bray’s Keith Nolan all start their quests this week.
Dungannon’s Fergal Rafferty goes for it next week in Texas.
