Irish Seniors make European semis

They beat Germany 3.5 to 1.5 with Tom Cleary and Michael Quirke getting ff to the perfect start with a 5 and 4 foursomes win over Michael Reich and Herbert Plenk.

Singles wins for Arthur Pierse and Maurice Kelly sealed overall victory as Scotland beat Spain 3-2.

In the other half of the draw, Sweden beat France 3-2 to set up a semi-final meeting with England, who defeated Norway 4-1.
