McKinstry and Reynolds best in Intervarsity Series at Rosses Point
Ulster University's Neil McKinstry took the honours in the first round of the Intervarsity Series at County Sligo, shooting 34 gross points in very testing conditions at the traditional home of the West of Ireland Amateur Open Championship, writes the GUI.
McKinstry was one point better than Maynooth University's Conor Stone and Ronan Mullarney, with NUI Galway's Colm Hughes a further point behind.
Maynooth University's Carla Reynolds clinches the Ladies round, also with a score of 34 points, three better than her college-mate Shanne Burke with QUB's Jessica Ross one further back.
