Selfridge and O'Driscoll shine at World Universities
Chris Selfridge and Jean O'Driscoll are the best of the Irish heading into the final round of the 15th World University Golf Championship at the Haut-Plateau resort in Crans-Montana.
Selfridge shot a one under 71 in the third round to go into the final day in fifth place on three under par, six strokes behind Gerardo Ruiz of Mexico in the men's individual standings with Tiarnan McLarnon (75) tied 25th, Conor O'Rourke (71) and Declan Loftus (77) tied 29th, leaving Ireland tied third in the men's team standings, 15 shots behind leaders Spain.
O'Driscoll is tied for 12th in the women's individual after a 69 in the third round, 10 strokes behind Tiffany Chan of Hong Kong.
Sinead Sexton (71) is 21st and Amy Farrell (74) 32nd with Ireland seventh in the team standings.
