Royal Portrush's Peter Kerr fired four birdies in a two under 69 to take a one-stroke lead into the last two rounds of the Leinster Boys Amateur Open Championship 2014 at Kilkenny Golf Club.
He leads on level par 142 from Castle's Barry Fitzpatrick, who shot a best of the day 68, Bray's Alan Fahy (70), Ring of Kerry's Tommy O'Driscoll (72) and Laytown & Bettystown's Thomas Mulligan (73).
Another Royal Portrush talent, Jamie Knipe, is just two behind on 144 with Luke Cummins (West Waterford), Ryan Long (Cairndhu) and Kilkenny's Brian Crowdle still well in touch on four over 146.
