Moynihan lands sponsorship deal with The Arena Group
Gavin Moynihan wants to compete in some of the biggest events in golf and he's now got help in taking a step closer to that goal by signing sponsorship deal with the global event services giant that runs some of the planet's biggest sporting occasions — The Arena Group.
The 21-year old Dubliner turned professional last month after playing a major part in Great Britain and Ireland’s Walker Cup triumph over the United States.
He progressed through the First Stage of European Tour Qualifying School at the start of October and is next in action at the second stage in Spain next month.
He said: “Arena is a large company and I’m proud to have linked up with them. The Arena Group plays a key role in some of the biggest golfing events in the world and I look forward to playing in some of them, wearing the Arena branding on the golf course.”
The Arena Group provides event overlay services and designs and delivers complete temporary environments for the most prestigious sporting and cultural events across the globe.
It has over a century of experience and works in partnership with the organisers and promoters of iconic events around the world, some of these include, the Ryder Cup, the President’s Cup, F1, Wimbledon, the Super Bowl, London 2012, RIO 2016 and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Greg Lawless, Group CEO of Arena Group, said: “We recognise Gavin’s huge potential and we’re looking forward to watching him develop as a professional golfer, whilst establishing himself on the European Tour and beyond.
“We will be proud to see Gavin competing in some of the events we help design and deliver across the world and, as a Group, we are very excited to have him on board to promote the Arena brand in Golf.”
