Selfridge signs for BlackStar Golf, makes pro debut in Czech Republic next week
Castledawson's Chris Selfridge will make his professional debut in the D + D Real Czech Challenge next week.
The 23-year old, who has signed with UK-based agency BlackStar Golf, leaves the amateur ranks inside the Top 100 in the world as as graduate of the University of Toledo, Ohio with a degree in Marketing and Communications.
“I am delighted to join BlackStar Golf, and obviously will be trying to gain my full card for 2016 through the playing opportunities that I am hoping to have on the European Challenge Tour this year,” Selfridge said.
Jeremy Robinson, director of BlackStar Golf said: “We are delighted to have signed Chris, he has had a very successful amateur career, including being the North of Ireland Amateur Champion for the past two years.
"Chris has also performed very consistently over the past four years on the US college circuit where he has been Mid-American conference all first team for the past three years."
Selfridge will start his professional career at the D + D Real Czech Challenge on May 28th at the Golf & Spa Kuneticka Hora, Dritec.
In August, Chris will make his professional debut on home soil at the 2015 Northern Ireland Open in association with SPHERE Global and Ulster Bank at Galgorm Castle.
