Three-way tie at the top at Bunclody
Ballyliffin's Damien Mooney, Clontarf's Eamonn Brady and Royal Dublin's Niall Kearney shared the spoils in the Bunclody Golf and Fishing Club Pro-Am on Thursday.
The trio carded four under par rounds of 68 to finish two shots ahead of Monkstown's Cian McNamara, Deer Park's Daniel Beattie and Massereene's Noel Murray.
Mooney recorded five birdies, an eagle and two bogeys in his round at the County Wexford venue. While Brady, who booked his place in Local Final Qualifying for The Open Championship via Regional Qualifying on Monday, continued his rich vein of form with five birdies and one bogey.
Reigning Irish PGA champion Kearney had the cleanest card, finishing with two birdies, an eagle at the par five 18th and no dropped shots.
Druids Glen professional Patrick Geraghty, guided his team to victory in the team event with 93 points, one point ahead of Cian McNamara and Eddie Doyle (Natural Golf School).
